3" Hoya sammannaniana

$40.00

Hoya sammannaniana is a rare and uncommon plant native to Borneo. It features oblong green leaves. Its most striking characteristic is its bloom—a single flower rather than the clustered blooms typical of most Hoyas.

Care & Growing Condition:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light may hinder flowering.

  • Water: Allow the 3/4 top soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, ensuring excess water drains out. Typically, watering every 2-3 weeks in the growing season (spring and summer) is sufficient.

  • Humidity: This plant prefers moderate to high humidity but can adapt to average household conditions. If the air is particularly dry, consider misting the plant occasionally or placing a humidifier nearby.

  • Soil: Use well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Alternatively, you can create your own mix by combining potting soil with sand or perlite for improved drainage.

  • Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring to summer). During fall and winter, reduce or cease fertilization.

  • Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant outgrows its pot. Choose a pot that Copy of String of Heartis slightly larger than the current one and ensure it has drainage holes.
