Alocasia 'Tiny Dancer' is a compact, visually striking tropical plant known for its unique heart-shaped leaves that can reach up to 10 inches in size. The leaves are deep green with prominent veins, and the plant typically grows to about 2-3 feet in height. Its upright growth habit and lush foliage make it an attractive addition to indoor spaces, and it is often appreciated for its ability to thrive in low light conditions. The 'Tiny Dancer' cultivar is particularly favored for its manageable size, making it perfect for tabletops or smaller areas.

Care & Growing Condition:

  • Light: Prefer bright indirect light.

  • Water: Water the plant when the top few inches of the soil feels dry to the touch. Ensure that the pot has good drainage, as Aglaonema does not like to sit in water. Overwatering can lead to root rot.

  • Humidity: This plant enjoys higher humidity levels but can adapt to average indoor humidity. To increase humidity, you can mist the leaves or place a humidifier nearby.

  • Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, preferably one formulated for houseplants.

  • Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every month during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce feeding in fall and winter when growth slows.

  • Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant outgrows its pot. Use a well-draining potting mix, preferably one designed for houseplants.

  • Pests/Diseases: Watch for common pests such as spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs. If infestations occur, treat the plant with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
