The Jade plant, scientifically known as Crassula ovata, is a popular succulent native to South Africa. It features thick, oval-shaped leaves that are glossy and a vibrant green, sometimes tinged with red at the edges. The plant can grow up to 3 feet tall and often develops a tree-like structure with a sturdy trunk. In optimal conditions, it produces small, star-shaped pink or white flowers.
