Tillandsia ionantha rosita Air Plant Treated Blush

$12.00

A compact, rosette-forming air plant with stiff, narrow leaves that blush vivid pink to deep red at blooming time while the tips remain green. Rosita is prized for its intense color shift and usually stays small (2–4 inches), producing a central inflorescence with small tubular flowers.

Care & Growing Condition:

  • Light: Bright, indirect light — east or filtered south/west window. Avoid hot direct midday sun.
  • Water: Soak 20–30 minutes once a week (increase to twice weekly in hot/dry conditions). Shake off excess water and let fully dry within 4 hours. Alternatively, mist 2–3 times weekly between soaks.
  • Humidity & air: Prefers moderate to high humidity (40–70%); good air circulation is essential to prevent rot.
  • Temperature: 50–85°F. Protect from frost.
  • Fertilizer: Weak bromeliad/air-plant fertilizer (diluted to 1/4–1/2 strength) monthly during growth or after watering.
  • Mounting: Place on driftwood, shells, or decorative holders—do not bury in substrate.
  • Signs of stress: Pale, brown, or soft leaves indicate underwatering, sunburn, or rot; floppy leaves may mean too little light.
