The String of Pearls Variegated is a captivating succulent known for its unique, trailing appearance. The plant features long, slender stems dotted with small, round, bead-like leaves that resemble green pearls. The variegated variety displays beautiful cream or white edges on the leaves, enhancing its visual appeal. This ornamental plant can grow up to 3 feet long and thrives in a hanging basket or pot, making it a stunning addition to any space.

Care & Growing Condition:

  • Light: Place your String of Pearls Variegated in bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light can cause it to stretch towards the light source.

  • Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly, ensuring excess water drains out. Typically, watering every 2-3 weeks in the growing season (spring and summer) is sufficient.

  • Humidity: This plant prefers moderate to high humidity but can adapt to average household conditions. If the air is particularly dry, consider misting the plant occasionally or placing a humidifier nearby.

  • Soil: Use well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Alternatively, you can create your own mix by combining potting soil with sand or perlite for improved drainage.

  • Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring to summer). During fall and winter, reduce or cease fertilization.

  • Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant outgrows its pot. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one and ensure it has drainage holes.

  • Pruning: Prune to maintain shape and manage size as needed.

  • Pests/Diseases: Watch out for pests such as mealybugs and spider mites. If detected, treat with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
