$15.00

The Pilea peperomioides is a unique and charming houseplant native to the Yunnan province of China. Its distinctive round, coin-shaped leaves have a glossy, vibrant green hue, resembling miniature umbrellas. This plant grows upright with a central stem and produces multiple stems, making it a lovely addition to any indoor space. It is often celebrated for its easy care and air-purifying qualities, symbolizing good luck and prosperity.

Care & Growing Condition:

  • Prefers bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little can stunt growth.

  • Water: Water the plant when the top few inches of the soil feels dry to the touch. Ensure that the pot has good drainage, as Aglaonema does not like to sit in water. Overwatering can lead to root rot.

  • Humidity: Thrives in moderate humidity but can tolerate standard indoor conditions. For optimal growth, occasional misting can be beneficial.

  • Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, preferably one formulated for houseplants.

  • Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or eliminate feeding in the fall and winter.

  • Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant outgrows its pot. Use a well-draining potting mix, preferably one designed for houseplants.

  • Pests/Diseases: Watch for common pests such as spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs. If infestations occur, treat the plant with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
