This ornamental houseplant features glossy, violin-shaped leaves that have a distinctive wavy edge and a deep green hue. Its compact size makes it perfect for small spaces, while its dramatic foliage adds an eye-catching element to any interior. The Ficus Lyrata Bambino is not only aesthetically pleasing but also relatively easy to care for, making it a great choice for both novice and experienced plant owners.

Care & Growing Condition:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate low-light conditions. However, optimal leaf coloration will be best in brighter light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

  • Water: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feels dry. Ensure proper drainage, avoid overwatering as this can lead to root rot.

  • Humidity: Thrives in average humidity levels but appreciates higher humidity. Generally, it adapts well to average household humidity.

  • Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). There’s no need to fertilize in the fall and winter when growth slows.

  • Repotting: Repot every 1-2 years or when the plant outgrows its container. Use a well-draining potting mix, and choose a pot size only one size larger to prevent excessive soil moisture.

  • Pruning: Prune to maintain shape and remove any dead or damaged leaves. Regular pruning can help encourage bushier growth.

  • Pest Management: Regularly check for pests such as spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs. Wipe down the leaves with a damp cloth and use insecticidal soap if necessary.
