The Dracaena Florida Beauty  is an attractive houseplant known for its striking variegated leaves. This tropical plant features long, narrow leaves that are bright green with creamy yellow edges, creating a vibrant and colorful display. The Song of India typically grows upright and can reach heights of 3 to 6 feet when cultivated indoors. Its unique foliage makes it a popular choice for adding a touch of the tropics to homes and offices while being relatively low-maintenance.

Care & Growing Condition:

  • Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate low-light conditions. However, optimal leaf coloration will be best in brighter light. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

  • Water: Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Dracaena is sensitive to overwatering, so it’s crucial to ensure the pot has drainage holes. Reduce watering in the winter months when the plant's growth slows down.

  • Humidity: Thrives in average humidity levels but appreciates higher humidity. You can mist the leaves occasionally or place a humidifier nearby to enhance humidity, especially in dry environments.

  • Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, such as a blend designed for succulents or a mix of regular potting soil with perlite or orchid bark to enhance drainage

  • Fertilizer: Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). There’s no need to fertilize in the fall and winter when growth slows.

  • Repotting: Repot every 2-3 years or when the plant outgrows its container. Use a well-draining potting mix, and choose a pot size only one size larger to prevent excessive soil moisture.

  • Pruning: Trim yellow or brown leaves at the base to maintain appearance and encourage healthy growth. If the plant becomes too tall or leggy, you can also prune the top to promote bushier growth.
